The MS Run the US Athlete Program is designed to promote the MS Run the US organization and its mission by partnering with purpose driven athletes. MS Run Athletes demonstrate their commitment to our Core Values and our connection with running. The MS Run Athlete selection process begins in July and continues throughout Fall, Winter and early Spring, concluding on April 1st. Contracts update annually based on organization review.

The MS Run the US Athlete Program is designed to promote nonprofit MS Run the US and its mission by partnering with purpose driven athletes. These athletes embody our mission, core values and our commitment to creating positive change for those living with MS through running. Athletes join the program on a rolling basis between October 1 and April 1, with all contracts ending on September 30. Contracts may be renewed annually based on MS Run the US’s review of the partnership.
MS Run Athletes have a strong set of social skills and aren't afraid to use them. Athletes commit to the MS Run the US mission, core values and the intention of the Athlete program.
Athletes intentionally meet new contacts, expand their personal and professional network, and pursue high character and excellence. Within these spheres, Athletes willing share their involvement with MS Run the US, sharing our mission, campaigns, and the Athlete’s personal experience with the organization.
Athletes maintain an active fundraising page, with a commitment to raise $1,500 or more by September 30.
Athletes promote their fundraising on at least one personal / professional platform(s) (ie Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, webpage, etc).
Athletes pin an announcement post linked as a collaboration with @msruntheus and include "@msruntheus Athlete" in social media bio.
Athletes post at least twice a month on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn, featuring MS Run the US branded gear and messaging aligned with our mission.
Athletes participate in a minimum of two events (5k, ultra distances and race sports considered) within their contract year wearing the MS Run the US Athlete Jersey and are socially engaged with people that ask about MS Run the US before or after event participation.
Specifics of event commitments are subject to change based on event details and MS Run approval.
Athletes are a strong part of our community. Athletes attend monthly Athlete Team meetings, participate weekly in the Athlete Team chat, and lead or co-lead one Ambassador Team meeting per year.
Athletes collaborate with the organization by sharing MS Run events, campaigns and programs within Athlete's community and on social media.
Athletes collaborate on content creation related to running, race sports, fundraising, MS awareness, and community-building.
Athletes represent MS Run the US at speaking engagements, interviews, or events.
Athlete Swag: Swag is provided to each Athlete by MS Run the US and includes:

MS Run Athlete Hat
MS Run the US Standard Jerseys
Exclusive MS Run Merch Store Gear for Athletes in their 2nd+ contract year.
Race Entries: MS Run provides a set amount of race reimbursement per Athlete with preference given to races with high quality media coverage/assets.
